Lighting Electrics 101: Course Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between Light Fixation (“LF”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and you, the delegate or booking representative (“you”, “your”). By booking a course with LF, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

1. Course Venue and Location

1.1 The course will be presented at a venue of your choice, agreed in advance with LF and within the areas covered by LF. Please refer to our website or contact us directly to discuss location coverage.

1.2 It is your responsibility to ensure that the venue is safe, accessible, and suitable for a presentation to the agreed number of delegates, along with LF personnel and any accompanying equipment.

1.3 The venue must provide:

Suitable seating for all delegates
Access to electricity outlets for LF’s presentation equipment, including a projector and laptop.
Further equipment includes a screen, please consider where this can be placed for best viewing. [xxxxxx size of screen]

2. Delegate Numbers

2.1 The course is designed for a maximum of 6 delegates per session.

2.2 If more than 6 delegates are present, LF reserves the right to:

  • Refuse entry to excess delegates
  • Cancel or postpone the course without liability
  • 2.3 If you require additional delegates, a separate course session must be arranged and booked in advance.

3. Course Content and Materials

3.1 The course fee includes:

  • A live presentation for up to 6 delegates
  • Hand-outs for delegates
  • A Q&A session at the end of the course


3.2 All course content, including presentations and hand-outs, is the intellectual property of LF.

3.3 Delegates may not:

  • Record or video the presentation
  • Reproduce, share, or redistribute any materials or content in any form


4. Booking and Payment

4.1 At the time of booking, a deposit of £400 (50% of the course fee) is required.

4.2 The remaining balance is due one week before the start of the course.

4.3 LF reserves the right to cancel the booking if full payment is not received before the full payment deadline.

5. Cancellation & refund Policy

5.1 You may cancel the course in writing:

Up to 2 weeks before the course start: full refund of deposit
Less than 2 weeks before the course start: deposit is forfeited

6. Rescheduling Policy

6.1 You may request to reschedule the course in writing:

Up to 2 weeks before the course: no penalty, and a new time will be arranged
Less than 2 weeks before the course: an administration fee of £100 will be added to your final balance

7. Delegate Responsibilities

7.1 Delegates must:

  • Follow any safety or operational instructions provided by LF
  • Respect the course venue and equipment
  • Ensure they arrive on time for the scheduled course


8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 LF will use reasonable care in delivering the course and materials.

8.2 LF is not responsible for:

  • Any loss, damage, or injury resulting from delegate actions, venue conditions, or failure to follow instructions
  • Any technical failures at the venue beyond LF’s control


9. Data Protection

9.1 LF processes personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR.

9.2 By booking the course, you consent to your personal data being processed for course administration, communications, and marketing purposes as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

11. Booking Agreement

By confirming your booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, including all policies relating to payment, cancellations, rescheduling, delegate responsibilities, intellectual property, and data protection.
