LIGHTING RESTORATION TECHNICIAN JOB DESCRIPTION
A full-time role to include:
- Making and restoring light fittings (training can be given)
- Testing and certifying finished light fittings
- Managing workshop consumables stock
- Picking and packaging customer orders
- Arranging postage/shipping of customer orders
- Going to the Post Office and Bank for relevant duties
- Creating and managing paperwork (online) related to customer orders
- Dealing with customers in-store, online and over the phone, including taking card payments
- Undertaking basic on-the-spot repairs for in-store customers
- Sorting, cleaning, recycling and any other relevant work relating to workshop tools, equipment and stock
- Using hand tools, power tools and ladders
- Undertaking work in accordance with any relevant Method Statement, Risk Assessment and current UK Health and Safety legislation
Ideal Candidate
- Knowledge of basic electrical theory
- Good metal and woodwork/carpentry skills
- Competent at painting and creating other finishes
- Working knowledge of simple lighting systems, including wiring, dimming and power
- Training in and/or practical knowledge of using hand and power tools
- Qualification for working at height
- High attention to detail
- Able to multi-task, prioritise and problem solve
- Motivated and hard-working
- A positive and personable personality
